Literally doesn't do it when I'm playing around with chrome, itunes and steam open (all the ram *****s.
#Iw3mp.exe has stopped working windows 10 no mic download
I did go for a little while without an antivirus (was scanning with malwarebytes, and another spyware thing for a bit, under direction from an it friend after my norton sub ended.), didn't download anything stupid, didn't go anywhere sketchy, or do anything stupid as far as I'm aware. But, figured I'd ask if there is a reletively straight forward fix (/ if it's better to fix than reinstall). I have the files to reinstall windows now, so, ready to do that if need be. Literally only does that when I've done the shutdown /a. Graphics card also did a weird kinda artifact like thing, which it never does otherwise (it's overclocked, but not hugely). Just then I lost microphone abilities in css (but had music going, so sound stayed). Just seems to do it whilst overclocked.īut yeah, so cpu usage seems to go insanely high for css, ram usage doesn't really move, and the restarts.Ĭommand prompt 'shutdown /a' works, but then after a bit I lose sound, and then when the screens go black (from being inactive) they will (more often than not) not come back on. Tried microsoft scanner in safe mode, and blue screen at 300thou files checked.Īnyway, before swapping psu, I took off the oc, and it was doing fairly well, didn't do it at all. Can't replace it in safe mode either.Īlso scanned via avg free, and spybot, no dice. Tried replacing the dll file, but couldn't, as it's in use (probably a sign it's a culprit). Found another person say they used malwarebytes anti root kit, which found something in one of the dll files. The microsoft one found millions of files, the malwarebytes did like 400thou), then did the microsoft program, which got up to about 1.2mill files before bluescreen (oc is stable). Didn't find anything (can't seem to make it do an overly in depth scan though.

Used malwarebytes as per the malware option, no dice. So anyway, had a google around, looking for other ideas, came across people saying it's malware, and microsoft saying 'yeah, download our scanner, and delete whatever it says is the issue, and you're all g' Doesn't seem to do it during cpu stress test, or benchmarking.Īgain, css isn't intensive, although the cpu usage thing I have says it's pretty much 80-100% most of the way through. Literally does it whenever I'm playing css for a while. A friend offered a trade for his 80+ bronze 700w cougar psu (Less crappy more or less), same deal. Now, Initially we thought it might be power supply related, as I had a crappy ion2 600w power supply, that wasn't rated (so we thought that could be a cause, as it might be dropping down too low under use). One will cause it, the other two will try to cause it as well. I've checked event logs and the following is happening:īasically, all three of those will 'terminate unexpectedly' and trip the restart. Doesn't seem to be an issue during other games (haven't tried too much though) Although, apparently the cpu still sees fairly high usage during a game). Seems to only do it when I'm playing css or dota2 (so, very low use. Ok, so I've had my oc for a little while, after doing it, it initially started randomly throwing up 'dcom service failed, computer will restart' or something along those lines, and then would restart.
